Sand Point (peninsula) facts for kids

Sand Point is a piece of land that sticks out into Lake Washington. It is located in northern Seattle, in Washington, United States. Most of Sand Point is taken up by Magnuson Park. The neighborhood next to it is also called Sand Point.
This area used to be a US Navy air base. Now, most of it is a public park. However, a part of it is used by NOAA. NOAA is a science agency that studies the Earth's oceans and atmosphere.
Sand Point was also a location in a video game called The X-Files Game.
