Playing in Korea: Suwon Samsung Bluewings

However, he quickly showed how good he was. He scored four goals in eight games in the regular league. The other new player did not do as well.
Because of his good performance, Suwon decided to keep Sandro permanently. In the 2000 Adidas Cup, he scored one goal in three games. This helped his team win the cup.
The year 2001 was a big year for Sandro. His coach, Kim Ho, trusted him a lot. Sandro, along with Ko Jong-soo and Dennis, formed a strong attacking group. He scored 13 goals and made three assists in 22 league games. This made him the top scorer in the K-League.
Sandro also did very well in international games. In the 2001 Asian Club Championship final, he scored the winning goal. This helped Suwon win the championship. He also helped the team win the Asian Super Cup.
Sandro continued his strong performance in 2002. He played 22 games, scoring eight goals and making seven assists. Suwon won the FA Cup for the first time that year, and Sandro played a big part in it. After this, Sandro moved to Japan in 2003.
