Santa Cruz de Mora is a vibrant city in Venezuela. It is the main city, or "capital," of the Antonio Pinto Salinas municipality, which is part of the Mérida State. This city is located about 40 kilometers (25 miles) away from the larger city of Mérida.
Santa Cruz de Mora is known as the hometown of some important people. For example, José Rujano, a famous Venezuelan cyclist, comes from here. Also, Alexis Ramírez, who used to be the governor of the state, lived here. The current leader of the city, known as the mayor, is Edgar Márquez.
