In 2025, Fantagraphics released Santiago Cohen's newest graphic novel, Secrets of a Lost Diary. He also illustrated the Latino graphic novel Angelitos by Ilan Stavans. The New York Times listed Angelitos as a notable book in 2018. Cohen's graphic novel The Fifth Name received a special grant from the Xeric Foundation. This grant helps artists create their unique projects.
Animation Projects
Santiago Cohen has worked on many animation projects. He animated episodes of "Troubles the Cat" for The Cartoon Network and Children's Television Network. He also created short animated films for kids that were shown on HBO. Cohen designed the opening sequences for the French TV channel TF!.
He directed animation for the Ink Tank animation company. This included "Troubles the Cat" shorts for the Cartoon Network and Sesame Workshop. He also made segments for HBO specials and commercials for various companies. Cohen created three 15-second animated parts for Sesame Street. He even designed the original logo for Comedy Central.
