Sarah Todd's Career Journey
Sarah Todd studied cooking at Le Cordon Bleu in London. She first appeared on MasterChef Australia in 2014. During the show, she cooked a dish called aloo gobi. This dish helped her gain many fans in India. She quickly got over 50,000 new followers on social media from India.
Opening Restaurants in India
In 2015, Sarah opened her first restaurant in Goa, India. It is called Antares. She is a co-owner and helps run the restaurant. A TV show called My Restaurant in India showed how Antares was built and opened. This show aired in Australia in 2016 and was later shown in 150 other countries.
While in Goa, Sarah also filmed a TV series called Serve It Like Sarah. This show was about adventure, travel, and food. It had 10 episodes and aired on Fox Life India, Choice TV in New Zealand, and Foxtel starting in 2016.
In 2019, another TV show, My Second Restaurant In India, was released. This show followed Sarah as she built and opened her second restaurant. Challenges and Rebuilding Antares
On January 8, 2019, a fire started next to her restaurant, Antares, in Goa. Embers from the fire flew onto the restaurant property. This caused a big fire at Antares. However, Sarah and her team rebuilt the restaurant quickly. It was back open and running just three months later.
Cookbooks and TV Shows
Sarah Todd's first cookbook was published in 2016. It is called My Healthy Model Cookbook and was released by Penguin Australia.
In 2017, Sarah became a judge on a reality TV show called 'Grilled'. She judged alongside Riyaaz Amlani and Vishal Dadlani on Fox Life India.
In 2018, Sarah hosted a documentary called Awesome Assam With Sarah Todd. This show was shown on Fox Life India, National Geographic Channel, and Foxtel. The show was very popular and increased viewership for its time slot by almost 60%.
MasterChef Australia Returns
Sarah was asked to return to MasterChef Australia for its twelfth season in 2020. This season featured only past contestants who had done very well but had not won. Sarah could not accept the offer then because she was busy with her work.
In 2022, Sarah was invited back for the fourteenth season of MasterChef Australia. This season had a mix of returning contestants and new ones. She accepted this time and did even better than before. She finished as the runner-up, with Billie McKay winning the competition for the second time.
In 2025, Sarah competed on MasterChef Australia's seventeenth season. This season also featured past contestants who had not yet won. She was eliminated on July 27, finishing in sixth place.
