Early Life and Education
Sarah Wilson was born in 1960 in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She grew up in the areas west of Boston. Sarah went to Amherst College and earned a degree in liberal arts. Later, she studied at Lesley University. There, she earned a master's degree. Her studies focused on the special connection between humans and animals. As of 2013, Sarah lives in St. Louis, Missouri.
Helping Dogs and Owners
Sarah Wilson started her career as a dog trainer in New York City. She taught dog training classes in Prospect Park. For over 20 years, she trained all kinds of dogs. This included pets of famous people, tracking dogs, and even service animals. Service animals help people with disabilities.
Since 1995, Sarah has worked with Guiding Eyes for the Blind. This organization trains guide dogs for people who are blind. She also speaks at events about dog training.
