Sasha Roiz (Hebrew: סשה רויז) is a Canadian actor. He was born on October 21, 1973. He is well-known for his roles as Sam Adama in the science-fiction TV series Caprica. He also played Captain Sean Renard in the fantasy TV series Grimm.

Early Life and Education
Sasha Roiz was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. His parents were Russian Jewish. In 1980, when he was seven years old, his family moved to Montreal, Canada.
Before becoming an actor, Roiz studied history. He then joined a theatre school in Montreal. Later, he moved to England to study acting. He graduated from the Guildford School of Acting in Guildford, Surrey.
Acting Career
Sasha Roiz has appeared in many popular television shows. These include CSI: Miami, House, NCIS, The Mentalist, and Lie To Me. He also had a repeating role as Marcus Diamond on Warehouse 13.
Role in Caprica
In 2008, Roiz got the part of Sam Adama in Caprica. This show is a spin-off from the popular series Battlestar Galactica. His character, Sam Adama, was a tough person who worked for a crime group. He often had disagreements with his brother, Joseph Adama, who was a lawyer. Sam Adama was also the uncle of William Adama. Sasha Roiz's role in Caprica became a main part of the show.
Role in Grimm
From 2011 to 2017, Sasha Roiz was a main actor on the TV show Grimm. This series is a fantasy police drama. It was made by Universal Television for NBC. Roiz played the character of Captain Sean Renard. He was a regular cast member for all six seasons of the show.
