Sashi Brown's Career Journey
Sashi Brown studied hard to prepare for his career. He earned a bachelor's degree from Hampton University in 1998. Later, he received a law degree (called a Juris Doctor) from Harvard Law School in 2002.
After finishing law school, Brown worked as a lawyer at a big law firm in Washington, D.C. He helped companies with many different business deals. Brown is allowed to practice law in New York, Washington, D.C., and Florida. He also manages his own company that invests money.
Working with the Jacksonville Jaguars
From 2005 to 2012, Sashi Brown used his legal skills to help the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was the main lawyer for the team. During his time with the Jaguars, he also served on the board of directors for the Jacksonville Housing Authority. He even helped with the important deal to name the team's stadium, EverBank Field.
Time with the Cleveland Browns
From 2013 to 2017, Brown worked for the Cleveland Browns. He was an executive vice president, which is a very high-ranking job. For part of 2016 and 2017, he was also the team's general manager. This meant he had a big role in making decisions about the team's players and future.
Leading the Washington Wizards
In July 2019, Sashi Brown took on a new challenge. He became the chief planning and operations officer and president of Monumental Basketball. This group manages two professional basketball teams: the NBA's Washington Wizards and the WNBA's Washington Mystics.
Becoming President of the Baltimore Ravens
In February 2022, Sashi Brown was chosen for another major leadership role. He became the new president of the Baltimore Ravens, taking over from Dick Cass in April of that year. As president, he helps lead the entire organization.
