About Sasthipada Chattopadhyay

Sasthipada Chattopadhyay was born on March 9, 1941, in a place called Khurut, in the Howrah district of India. He started his writing journey early. His very first story, Kamakhya Bhraman, was published in a newspaper called Dainik Basumati in 1961.

He later worked for a well-known newspaper, Anandabazar Patrika. He learned a lot from famous writers like Ramapada Chowdhury and Sagarmoy Ghosh there. He also worked for the Rabibasoryo section of Anandabazar. At one point, he joined the Indian Railway and was posted in a town called Ghatshila.

Sasthipada Chattopadhyay wrote many different kinds of stories. He wrote novels, travel stories, and short stories. But he became super famous for creating the Pandab Goenda series.
