Satoshi Tezuka (手塚 聡, Tezuka Satoshi, born September 4, 1958) is a former Japanese football player and manager. He was born in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. Tezuka played as a forward and was known for his skills on the field. He also represented the Japan national team in many games. After his playing career, he became a successful football manager.

Playing Career: A Football Star

Satoshi Tezuka started his journey in football at a young age. He played for his high school team and then for Chuo University.

Club Success with Fujita Industries

After finishing university, Tezuka joined a professional club called Fujita Industries in 1981. This team was very strong. In his first year, Fujita Industries won the Japan Soccer League championship in 1981. He played for Fujita Industries for ten years. He played 167 games in the league and scored 42 goals. He retired from playing football in 1991.

Representing Japan: National Team Matches

Satoshi Tezuka also played for the Japan national team. He made his first appearance for Japan on June 11, 1980. At that time, he was still a student at Chuo University. He played against the China team.

He took part in important international competitions. These included the qualification games for the 1986 World Cup. He also played in the 1986 Asian Games. His last games for Japan were during the qualification for the 1988 Summer Olympics. Overall, he played 25 games for Japan and scored 2 goals. His national team career ended in 1988.

Coaching Career: Leading Teams to Victory

After he stopped playing, Satoshi Tezuka began a new career as a coach. He started coaching at his former club, Fujita Industries, in 1991. The club later changed its name to Bellmare Hiratsuka and then Shonan Bellmare.

Managing Different Clubs

In 2003, he moved to coach at Mito HollyHock. Two years later, in 2005, he became the manager for Thespa Kusatsu.

In 2007, Tezuka joined Japanese Regional Leagues club Fagiano Okayama. He helped this club achieve great success. Under his management, Fagiano Okayama was promoted to the Japan Football League in 2008. The very next year, in 2009, he led them to be promoted again, this time to the J2 League. This was a big achievement for the club.

After his time with Fagiano Okayama, he moved to Fukushima United FC in 2010. He managed this team until 2011.
