Sauk Lake, also known as Sauk Trail Lake, is a small, freshwater lake. You can find it in Cook County, Illinois, in the United States. It sits between the towns of Park Forest, Illinois and Chicago Heights.

This lake is actually a wider part of Thorn Creek. It was formed by a dam on the south side of 26th Street. This street runs along the north side of the lake. Sauk Lake is surrounded by tall, sandy hills on its east and west sides. It is also part of the Sauk Trail Woods Forest Preserve, a protected natural area.
