Sayalonga is a charming town located in southern Spain. It's part of the Málaga province in the Andalusian region. This town is also found in an area called La Axarquía.
Sayalonga is about 38 kilometers (24 miles) from the big city of Málaga. It's also just 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) from Vélez Málaga. Around 1,300 people live here. People from Sayalonga are called Sayalonguinos!
History of Sayalonga
Sayalonga has an interesting past. In 1867, some towns were reorganized. During this time, the small village of Corumbela became a part of the Sayalonga municipality. This means Corumbela joined Sayalonga to form one larger local government area.
