The Scaglia's tuco-tuco (Ctenomys scagliai) is a small type of rodent. It belongs to a group of animals known as the Ctenomyidae family. This special tuco-tuco is only found in one specific area. It lives in Tucumán Province, which is in northern Argentina.
This animal was named after a famous Argentine scientist. His name was Galileo Juan Scaglia, and he lived from 1915 to 1989.
