Scott Sundquist: The Drummer
Scott Sundquist is a talented musician. He plays the drums, percussion, and harmonica. He became famous for his time as the drummer for the band Soundgarden. This band is known for its grunge, heavy metal, and alternative metal music.
Joining Soundgarden
In 1985, Soundgarden was a new band. It had three members: Chris Cornell on vocals and drums, Kim Thayil on guitar, and Hiro Yamamoto on bass. The band asked Scott Sundquist to join as their drummer. This allowed Chris Cornell to focus only on singing.
Scott Sundquist had been friends with Chris Cornell before joining the band. With Scott as drummer, Soundgarden played many shows for about a year. They recorded three songs for an album called Deep Six. This album was released in March 1986. It featured grunge music from Soundgarden and five other bands. These songs are the only ones Soundgarden recorded with Scott Sundquist.
Moving On
In 1986, Scott Sundquist decided to leave Soundgarden. He wanted to spend more time with his family. Even after leaving the band, he remained good friends with Chris Cornell and Kim Thayil.
