How Scottsboro Got Its Name
The community of Scottsboro was named after an important early settler. This person was General John Scott. He was one of the first people to live in this area.
Early Post Office Days
Scottsboro once had its very own post office. This post office opened in 1896. It helped people send and receive letters and packages. However, it only stayed open for a few years. The post office closed its doors in 1902.
