Sean Blakemore is an American actor born on August 10, 1967. He is well-known for playing the character Shawn Butler on the TV show General Hospital. He started this role in 2011.

Sean Blakemore was nominated for a special award called the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2012 for his work on General Hospital. He then won this award in 2016! He signed a full-time contract with the show in April 2011.

Early Life and Beginnings

Sean Blakemore was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the fifth of seven children in his family. He has one brother, Ronnell, and five sisters: Kim, Sharon, Yvonne, Yvette, and Rechelle.

He went to Hazelwood East High School in St. Louis. Before becoming an actor, Sean was a successful model. He moved to Los Angeles on July 19, 1998, to start his acting career.
