The Security Trust Building is a special old building in downtown Rockland, Maine. It stands at the corner of Museum and Main Streets. This building was finished in 1912. It is a great example of a building style called Colonial Revival. A famous architect from Boston, R. Clipston Sturgis, designed it. Because of its history and design, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. This list helps protect important places in the United States.

What Does the Building Look Like?
The old Security Trust Building is a single-story building made of brick. It has fancy marble details. You can find it in downtown Rockland, right next to the Farnsworth Art Museum.
Outside Features
The building has a flat roof. Today, there's even a restaurant terrace on top with a metal fence. The bottom part of the building is made of granite, covered with marble. The corners of the building have special brick patterns called "quoining." These go up to a decorative band with brick and marble, and a marble ledge on top.
The front of the building faces Main Street. It has three main sections. The middle section has the main door. Two tall, round columns stand next to the door. Above the door is a fancy top part and a pointed roof shape. The windows on either side of the door are curved at the top. They sit above marble panels. The side of the building facing Museum Street has similar windows.
Inside Details
Inside the building, there is a decorative border around the top of the walls. This border shows pictures of coins from the time the building was built. It's a cool detail that tells a bit about its past as a bank.
