Sedgwick's History
The community of Sedgwick got its start a long time ago. A post office was opened there in 1874. This post office helped people send and receive mail until it closed in 1903.
Sedgwick was named after a famous person: John Sedgwick. He was an important officer during the American Civil War, which was a big conflict in American history from 1861 to 1865.
