About The Devil's Gluttony

The Devil's Gluttony shared information about a special army group called Unit 731. This group was part of the Japanese army during the war. The book helped people learn more about what happened during that time.

When the book first came out, there was a discussion about one of the pictures in it. It was found that part of a photograph was not correct. Because of this, the first publisher stopped selling the book. Later, a new version of the book was printed by a different publisher, and the photo was removed.

Awards and Other Works

Seiichi Morimura won a very important award in Japan called the Edogawa Rampo Prize. He received this award in 1969 for his book Death in the High-Rise. This prize is given to authors for excellent mystery novels.
