One of Morimura's most well-known books is called The Devil's Gluttony. This book was published in the early 1980s. It talked about some difficult events from a war between Japan and China that happened from 1937 to 1945.
About The Devil's Gluttony
The Devil's Gluttony shared information about a special army group called Unit 731. This group was part of the Japanese army during the war. The book helped people learn more about what happened during that time.
When the book first came out, there was a discussion about one of the pictures in it. It was found that part of a photograph was not correct. Because of this, the first publisher stopped selling the book. Later, a new version of the book was printed by a different publisher, and the photo was removed.
