Seiji Kaneko (金古 聖司, Seiji Kaneko, born May 27, 1980) is a Japanese former football player. He played as a defender, helping his teams protect their goal.

Seiji Kaneko's Football Journey

Seiji Kaneko began his professional football career in 1999 with Kashima Antlers in Japan. During his time with Kashima Antlers, he also played for other teams on loan. A loan means a player temporarily moves to another club for a period.

Playing in Japan

After these loan spells, he returned to Kashima Antlers in 2008. He left the club at the end of that season.

Playing Abroad

From 2009 to 2013, Seiji Kaneko played for Tampines Rovers in Singapore's S.League. He was a very important player for them. In 2012, he played one season for Mitra Kukar in Indonesia. After his time in Singapore, he moved to Ang Thong in Thailand in 2014. His last club was Yangon United FC in Myanmar, where he played in 2015.
