Seiji Koga is a former Japanese football player. He was born on August 7, 1979, in Okawa, Japan. Seiji played as a Midfielder during his career. His brother, Masahiro Koga, was also a professional football player.

Seiji Koga's Football Journey

Seiji Koga started his football career after finishing high school. He joined a top Japanese football club called Yokohama F. Marinos in 1998. Even though he was an offensive midfielder, he didn't play in many matches during his time there.

Playing for Avispa Fukuoka

In 2002, Seiji moved to Avispa Fukuoka, a club closer to his hometown. Here, he got to play much more often as a left offensive midfielder. His hard work helped the team get promoted to the J1 League, which is Japan's highest football league, in 2006. However, the team went back down to the J2 League the next year. Seiji's chances to play became fewer in 2007.

Time with Vissel Kobe

Later in 2007, Seiji joined Vissel Kobe. He became a regular player for them and played many games until May 2008. Unfortunately, he got an injury that kept him from playing for a while. He returned to the field in July 2009 but left the club at the end of that season.

Final Years and Retirement

In May 2010, Seiji Koga joined SC Sagamihara, a club in the lower leagues. He played a lot there and helped the team move up to the Japanese Regional Leagues in 2011. Seiji Koga decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2012 season.
