Udoka Chigozie Oku was born on July 29, 1992, in Enugu State, Nigeria. His family is from the Igbo ethnic group. Selebobo is one of twelve children. His older brother, Okechukwu Oku, is a well-known film director.
Family's Musical Influence
Music was a big part of Selebobo's family life. His father, Goddy Oku, was a guitarist and musician. He performed at local shows during the 1970s. Because of his father, Selebobo learned to play many instruments, including the guitar. This early exposure helped him develop a strong love for music. By the time he was twelve years old, he began creating his own music using a keyboard.

Selebobo completed his primary and secondary schooling in Enugu State. After that, he attended Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, Anambra State. He studied Fine Arts at the university and earned a bachelor's degree.

Selebobo started his career by writing and producing songs. His big break came in 2013 with his hit single "Yoyo." This song featured another artist, J. Martins. While with MMMG, Selebobo was sometimes known as Mixx Monsta.

In 2014, Selebobo produced the very popular song "Johnny" for Yemi Alade. This song became a huge success, getting over a hundred million views online. His work as a producer helped many artists create their best music.
Starting His Own Label
Selebobo left Made Men Music Group in 2019. He then started his own record label, which he named "Vault." This allowed him to have more control over his music and help other artists. In 2021, he worked as a producer on Rudeboy's first solo album, Rudykillus.
