Injury and National Championship (2004-2005)
In 2004, Selvin had a tough year. He hurt his ankle badly in the second game. This injury ended his season early. The NCAA gave him a "medical redshirt." This meant he could play an extra year of college football later.
In 2005, Selvin became a starter for five games. This included the big national championship game against the University of Southern California. In that game, he ran for 45 yards and scored a touchdown. He also made a very important block on a play that helped his team win the championship. Joining the Denver Broncos (2007)
On May 1, 2007, Selvin signed a contract with the Denver Broncos. He played very well in the team's practice games. Because of his strong performances, the head coach, Mike Shanahan, made him the second-string running back. He played behind the main starter, Travis Henry.
In his very first game as a starter, Selvin showed his talent. He gained 120 total yards against the Green Bay Packers. He also helped the team by returning kickoffs.
First 100-Yard Game (2007)
