Sergey Viktorovich Shustikov (born September 30, 1970 – died January 7, 2016) was a talented Russian football player and coach. He managed FC Solyaris Moscow from 2014 until he passed away. Sergey came from a family of footballers; his father, Viktor Shustikov, and his son, Sergey Shustikov, were also professional players.

Playing for Top Clubs
Sergey started his professional journey in 1988 with Torpedo Moscow. He played there for many years, until 1996, becoming a key player for the team.
Later, he moved to Spain and played for Racing de Santander in 1996. After that, he returned to Russia to play for CSKA Moscow from 1997 to 1998. He then went back to Racing de Santander for another two years, from 1998 to 2000.
He also had a short time with CA Osasuna in Spain before finishing his playing career with FC Moscow from 2001 to 2004.
Representing His Country
Sergey Shustikov also had the honor of playing for his country. He made his debut for the CIS on February 2, 1992. This was in a friendly match against the United States.
From Player to Coach
After retiring as a player, Sergey Shustikov continued his involvement in football as a coach.
Guiding Teams from the Sidelines
He began his coaching career in 2005 as an assistant coach for the reserve team of FC Moscow. He then became an assistant coach for the main FC Moscow team until 2007.
Sergey also worked as an assistant coach for FC Krylia Sovetov Samara from 2008 to 2009. Later, he joined PFC CSKA Moscow as an assistant coach, staying there from 2009 to 2014. His last coaching role was managing FC Solyaris Moscow from 2014 until his passing in 2016.
His Family's Football Legacy
Sergey Shustikov was part of a special football family. His father, Viktor Shustikov, was a famous Soviet footballer. Sergey's son, also named Sergey Shustikov, followed in their footsteps and became a professional footballer too. This made them a unique family with three generations playing the sport.
