Sergio Camello Pérez (born on February 10, 2001) is a Spanish professional football player. He plays as a forward for the La Liga club Rayo Vallecano.

Sergio Camello's Club Journey

Sergio Camello was born in Madrid, Spain. He started playing football at a young age. In 2009, when he was eight years old, he joined the youth team of Atlético Madrid. Before that, he played for CDS Las Encinas de Boadilla.

Starting in Senior Football

Sergio made his first appearance as a senior player for Atlético Madrid's reserve team on September 23, 2018. He came into the game as a substitute and scored a goal. This helped his team win 4–2 against CDA Navalcarnero.

In May 2019, Sergio scored two goals in one game against Pontevedra CF, helping his team win 2–0. Just six days later, he played his first game for the main Atlético Madrid team in La Liga. He came on as a substitute and scored a goal that helped his team draw 2–2 with Levante UD. This made him the first player born in the 21st century to score for Atleti (a nickname for Atlético Madrid).

Playing for Other Teams

On August 31, 2021, Sergio joined Mirandés, a team in the Segunda División (Spain's second division), for a season. He was a very important player for them and scored 15 goals during that season. He even scored two goals in three different games!

In August 2022, Sergio signed a new contract with Atleti until 2026. After that, he moved to Rayo Vallecano, another top-tier team, on a loan deal for the season. He scored his first goal in the top league on October 3, helping Rayo Vallecano win 2–1 against Elche CF.

On August 17, 2023, Sergio Camello officially joined Rayo Vallecano with a four-year contract. This meant he was no longer just on loan.
