Shohei Ogura (小椋 祥平, Ogura Shōhei, born September 8, 1985) is a Japanese former football player. He played as a defensive midfielder. This means he was a player who helped protect his team's goal.
He was nicknamed "Mamushi" because he was very good at staying close to opposing players. "Mamushi" means "pit viper" in Japanese, showing how tough he was on the field! Shohei faced many injuries during his career. Even with injuries, he played in over 360 professional games. Most of these games were for the team Yokohama F. Marinos.

Shohei Ogura began his professional football journey in 2004. His first team was Mito HollyHock. He played there for four years, from 2004 to 2007. During this time, he played in 108 league games and scored 3 goals.
Playing for Yokohama F. Marinos
In 2008, Shohei joined Yokohama F. Marinos, a well-known team. He spent seven years with this club, from 2008 to 2014. This was where he played the most games in his career.
