Shaan Rahman (born December 30, 1979) is a talented Indian music maker and singer. He is famous for his music in the Malayalam film industry. Shaan started his journey as a music director in 2009 with the film Ee Pattanathil Bhootham.
Before that, his music album "Coffee at MG Road" became very popular in 2008. He created this album with his friend, singer and director Vineeth Sreenivasan. Vineeth then asked Shaan to work on his first movie as a director, Malarvaadi Arts Club (2010). Since then, Shaan and Vineeth have worked together on many films.
Shaan became even more popular with movies like Thattathin Marayathu (2012) and Oru Vadakkan Selfie (2015). His song Jimikki Kammal from the film Velipadinte Pusthakam (2017) became a huge hit across India. Many people made their own versions of the song online.
His third film as a music director, Thattathin Marayathu (2012), was also directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan. The music from this film was loved by many. A famous composer, M. Jayachandran, even said that "Muthuchippi Poloru" was his favorite song that year. In 2014, Shaan also worked on his first Telugu film, Saheba Subramanyam. This movie was a remake of Thattathin Marayathu.

About Shaan Rahman
Shaan was born and grew up in Thalassery, Kannur district. He now lives with his family in Kakkanad, Kochi. Shaan's father worked for the Union Cement Company (UCC). His mother is a homemaker.
Shaan has a younger sister named Sherry and a brother named Shaheer. Sherry is a doctor. Shaheer studies Visual Effects at ICAT. Shaan married Zaira on October 11, 2009. They have a son named Rayaan.
Shaan Rahman Music Conservatory
In 2023, Shaan Rahman started his own music school called the Shaan Rahman Music Conservatory. It is located in Kochi, Kerala. This school helps new musical talents learn and grow.
The conservatory offers different music programs. These include courses in Hindustani vocal, Carnatic vocal, Western vocal, Guitar, and Piano.
