Shackford Head State Park is a cool place to visit on Moose Island in the city of Eastport, Washington County, Maine. It's a public park, meaning anyone can go and enjoy nature there! This park covers about 87 acres and sits on a piece of land that sticks out into the water. This land is called a peninsula. It separates two bays: Cobscook Bay and Broad Cove.

The park is named after John Shackford. He was a soldier in the American Revolutionary War and used to own this land. The park is looked after by the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry. It was officially opened in 1989.
