Population Growth Over Time
The number of people living in Shahr-e Pir has been growing steadily. This growth is measured by official counts called censuses. A census helps us understand how many people live in a city and how many households there are.
In 2006, the first census counted 7,161 people living in Shahr-e Pir. These people lived in 1,549 different households. A household is like a family unit living together.
Five years later, in 2011, another census was taken. This time, the population had grown to 8,100 people. The number of households also increased to 2,031. This shows that more families were moving to or forming in the city.
The most recent census in 2016 showed even more growth. The population reached 8,927 people. There were 2,469 households recorded at that time. This continued increase means Shahr-e Pir is becoming a bigger and more active city.
