Shahram Mahmoudi Khatounabadi (born July 20, 1988) is a famous Iranian volleyball player. He played for the Iranian national team. Shahram even competed in the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics!

Shahram started playing for the national team in 2013. He was invited by coach Julio Velasco. Shahram is also the younger brother of another well-known volleyball player, Behnam Mahmoudi. Both brothers are from a city called Mianeh in Iran. Shahram has won the "Most Valuable Player" award three times at the Asian Club Championship.

Shahram Mahmoudi has won many awards during his volleyball career. These awards show how skilled and important he was to his teams.

Individual Awards

These are awards Shahram won for his own great playing:

  • 2012 Asian Club Championship "Best Spiker": This means he was the best at hitting the ball over the net to score points.
  • 2014 Asian Club Championship "Most Valuable Player": He was chosen as the best player in the whole tournament.
  • 2016 Asian Club Championship "Most Valuable Player": He won this top award again!
  • 2017 Asian Club Championship "Most Valuable Player": And he won it a third time, showing his consistent excellence.

Shahram helped his country's team win these medals:

  • 2007 FIVB U21 World Championship: He won a Med 3.png Bronze Medal with the Under-21 team.
  • 2013 Asian Championship: His team won the Med 1.png Gold Medal.
