Sheep and Wolves: Pig Deal (Russian: Волки и овцы: Ход свиньей) is a fun 3D computer-animated fantasy-comedy film from Russia. It was released in 2019. This movie is a sequel, meaning it continues the story from the first film, Sheep and Wolves. It also uses ideas from the old fairy tale, The Wolf and the Seven Young Goats.

The film was made by Wizart Animation and CTB Film Company. It was directed by Vladimir Nikolaev and Mikhail Babenko. In the original Russian version, Maxim Matveev voices Grey. The English version features Graham Halstead as Grey.

The story follows Grey, a peaceful wolf who leads a village where wolves and sheep live together. New guests arrive: an arctic fox named Simone and a sheep girl named Josie. They are running from a mean wolf clan. The hungry wolves want to attack Grey's village to get the newcomers. But Grey decides to protect them.

The movie was nominated for several awards, including the Pulcinella Award in Italy. It won the award for Best Storyline at the Catalina Film Festival.

What the Movie is About

A Peaceful Village and New Friends

The movie starts with a look back at the first Sheep and Wolves film. Grey the wolf wakes up from a dream. He is being cared for by Lyra the sheep. Grey has learned to be kind to sheep. He has become good friends with them in their village.

Meanwhile, in a dark cave, a messenger wolf meets Gark. Gark is the leader of a fierce wolf clan. The messenger tells him about Mami, a gypsy who sells souvenirs. She is near the peaceful village where wolves and sheep live together. Gark and his wolves decide to capture Mami. They succeed in taking her.

Back in the peaceful village, Belgour names Grey as the new leader. Grey becomes the leader of both wolves and sheep.

Unexpected Guests and a Threat

Soon, two unexpected guests arrive: a small sheep named Josie and a polar fox named Simone. They are looking for safety from Gark's hungry wolves. Grey welcomes them. However, Ziko the ram is suspicious of them.

Gark's wolf clan hears about the new animals. They attack the village. They want Grey to give up Josie and Simone so they can eat them. But they don't start a full war right away. They believe Grey will become a "real" wolf again. Then, they think they can easily take over the sheep village.

Gark defeats Grey in a fight. He tells Grey, "Your alliance with sheep is disgusting." Gark gives Grey a few days. If Grey doesn't give up, Gark's wolves will attack the village. They will eat everyone and break the peace between the sheep and wolves.

Building a Fortress and a Mystery

Grey returns to the village and shares the bad news. The villagers agree to defend themselves. They decide to build a strong fortress to prepare for the fight. But then, mysterious saboteurs cause the fortress to fall apart.

Grey feels discouraged and unsure of himself. He asks Belgour for advice again. Belgour remains calm. He tells Grey that he still believes in him. Belgour reminds Grey that he has already brought wolves and sheep together. This means Grey can do anything. Belgour gives Grey wise advice: "Any chaos can be turned into something beautiful."

Protecting the Village

Grey must now defend the village. The strong bonds between the sheep and wolves are being tested. Grey, Bianca the wolf, Cliff the Seagull, Ziko the lamb, Josie the sheep, and others work together. They use their cleverness and teamwork to protect their home from Gark's clan.

Ziko and others decide to catch the mysterious saboteur. This person wears white gloves. Meanwhile, Grey and Bianca go to the wolf pack's den. They secretly rescue the gypsy Mami. Mami prepares a special potion that could help them win the fight. But the mysterious saboteur switches the potion vials. The new potion turns the defenders into pigs!
