Starting Out
Shenaz was still in college when a photographer noticed her. Her first job was modeling for a soft drink called Gold Spot. She also worked in advertisements for companies like Akai and Philips. Later, MTV hired her to be a VJ, which is a video jockey, for their show MTV's Most Wanted.
Acting Roles
Shenaz started acting in movies in 2001. Her first film was a Telugu movie called Eduruleni Manishi. In 2003, she acted in the Bollywood film Ishq Vishk. This role was very successful and she was nominated for a best supporting actress award.
She loves to travel and has written travel articles for magazines like Cosmopolitan and Elle. For a while, she hosted a show called Culture Shock on the Travel Channel.
In 2011, Shenaz joined the American TV show One Life to Live. She played a character named Rama Patel. She continued with the show until it ended in 2012. She even returned when the show started airing online in 2013.

Shenaz was born into a Parsi family. Her father worked as a merchant marine engineer. She went to school and college in Mumbai, at St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. In 2001, she moved to New York City. There, she studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. She also took a writing course at NYU.
