Shinzo Koroki (born July 31, 1986) is a famous Japanese footballer. He plays as a striker, which means he's a player who tries to score goals. He is well-known for playing with the Urawa Red Diamonds club. He has also played for the Japanese national team.

Shinzo Koroki's Football Journey
Shinzo Koroki has had a long and successful career in Japanese football. He started playing professionally in 2005.
Playing for Clubs
Koroki began his professional journey with Kashima Antlers in 2005. He played there for eight years, until 2012. During his time with Kashima Antlers, he played in 192 matches and scored 49 goals.
In 2013, he moved to Urawa Red Diamonds. This is where he spent most of his career. He played over 270 games for Urawa Red Diamonds and scored more than 110 goals. He was a very important player for the team.
In 2022, Koroki went on loan to Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo for a short time. He played 21 matches and scored 5 goals there. He returned to Urawa Red Diamonds in 2023.
Shinzo Koroki announced that he would retire from playing football on November 21, 2024.
Playing for Japan
Koroki also had the honor of playing for the Japan national team. His first game for Japan was on October 9, 2008, in a friendly match against the United Arab Emirates. He played 16 matches for the national team between 2008 and 2015.
In 2016, he was chosen to play for the Japan U-23 national team at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He was one of the older players allowed to join the team. At the Olympics, he played in all 3 matches and even scored a goal against Nigeria.
