Shiona Baird, born on September 14, 1946, is a Scottish politician. She was a Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the North East Scotland area from 2003 to 2007. She also helped lead the Scottish Green Party as a co-convener during those years.

Her Time in the Scottish Parliament

In 2003, Shiona Baird was elected as an MSP for the North East Scotland region. As an MSP, she was part of the Scottish Parliament's Enterprise Committee. She also spoke for the Scottish Green Party on important topics. These topics included business, how to handle waste, and energy.

In 2005, she spoke out about energy and climate change. She believed these were very important issues that needed more attention.

Shiona Baird ran for election again in 2007 but was not elected. Later, another politician named Alison Johnstone took over as co-convener of the Scottish Green Party. In 2010, Shiona Baird also ran in the UK general election for the Dundee East area, but she was not successful.
