Shohei Yamamoto's Football Journey
Shohei Yamamoto was born in Nagaokakyo, Japan, on August 29, 1982. He started his football career in the youth team of Kyoto Purple Sanga. In 2001, he joined their main team, which played in the J2 League. However, he did not get to play in any official matches that year.
Playing for Mito HollyHock
In 2002, Shohei moved to another J2 League club, Mito HollyHock. He played in many games during the 2002 season. But in 2003, his chances to play became very few.
Time at ALO's Hokuriku
He then moved to Japan Football League (JFL) club ALO's Hokuriku in 2004. The JFL is a lower professional league in Japan. Shohei became a regular player here and played in many matches for three seasons.
Moving to Roasso Kumamoto
In 2007, he joined another JFL club, Rosso Kumamoto (later known as Roasso Kumamoto). He didn't play much at first. However, his club was promoted to the J2 League at the end of the 2007 season. In 2008, he became a main player for Roasso Kumamoto and played in many games for two seasons.
Playing for V-Varen Nagasaki
In 2010, Shohei moved to V-Varen Nagasaki, another JFL club. He played often as a regular player in 2010. But from 2012, he started to play less often.
Years at Kamatamare Sanuki
In 2013, he joined Kamatamare Sanuki, which was also in the JFL. He quickly became a regular player for this team. His club was promoted to the J2 League at the end of the 2013 season. Shohei continued to play in many matches until 2016. However, in 2017, his playing time decreased again.
Final Club and Retirement
In 2018, Shohei Yamamoto moved to Ococias Kyoto AC, a club in the Japanese Regional Leagues, which are below the JFL. He played a few matches there. Shohei decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2018 season.
