Shoma Mizunaga (水永 翔馬, Mizunaga Shōma, born 22 May 1985) is a former Japanese footballer. He was a talented striker who played for several teams. His last team was Tegevajaro Miyazaki.

Shoma Mizunaga's Football Journey

Shoma Mizunaga was born on May 22, 1985. He grew up to become a professional football player. He was known for scoring goals as a striker.

Starting His Career

Shoma started his professional journey with Honda Lock S.C.. He played for them for almost six years. This team was part of the Japan Football League, often called the JFL. After his time there, he joined another JFL team, V-Varen Nagasaki, in 2011.

Big Moments in J. League

In 2013, Shoma's team, V-Varen Nagasaki, moved up to the J. League Division 2. This was a big step for the club and for Shoma. He made his first professional debut in this league on March 3, 2013. He came into the game as a substitute against Fagiano Okayama.

Just one game later, Shoma scored his first goal in the J. League Division 2! This happened against a famous team, Gamba Osaka. It was V-Varen's first home game in the second division. Over 18,000 fans were there to watch. Shoma scored in the 79th minute. He scored again on March 24, 2013, against Matsumoto Yamaga F.C.. Then, he scored his third goal on March 31, 2013, helping V-Varen Nagasaki win 3-1 against Gainare Tottori.

Coming Home and Retirement

Shoma Mizunaga played for different clubs in the J. League. After many years, he returned to his home area. In December 2017, he joined Tegevajaro Miyazaki. This team had just moved up to the JFL. Shoma played for them until 2022. He then announced that he was retiring from professional football.
