Shuhei Terada (寺田 周平, born June 23, 1975) is a Japanese football manager and former player. He is currently the manager of the Fukushima United club.

Playing Career: Shuhei Terada's Journey
Shuhei Terada began his football journey in the youth teams of Nissan Motors, which is now known as Yokohama F. Marinos. He also played football and studied at Yokosuka High School and Tokai University. During his time at university, he helped the Japan team win the football event at the 1995 Summer Universiade in Fukuoka. After graduating, he almost joined Yokohama Marinos, but a neck problem found during his medical check stopped the deal.
Joining Kawasaki Frontale
After a year without a club, Terada signed with J2 League team Kawasaki Frontale in 1999. He started as a midfielder who helped protect the defense. He quickly became a regular player and helped his team win the J2 Championship. In May 2000, he injured a knee ligament. This injury, along with others, kept him from playing for two and a half years.
Becoming a Key Defender
When he returned to playing, Terada changed his position to a central defender. He became a very important player in Kawasaki's defense. He was known for being strong and reliable. He played for Kawasaki Frontale until the end of the 2010 season, when he retired from playing professional football.
International Career: Playing for Japan
Terada played his first game for the Japanese national team on May 27, 2008. This was a friendly match against Paraguay. At 32 years and 339 days old, he was the fourth oldest player to make his debut for Japan. He also played in games for the 2010 World Cup qualification and 2011 Asian Cup qualification. He played a total of 6 games for Japan between 2008 and 2009.
Managerial Career: Leading a Team
On December 13, 2023, it was announced that Shuhei Terada would become the manager of the J3 club Fukushima United for the 2024 season. He has been leading the team since then. On November 18, 2024, Terada signed a new contract to continue managing Fukushima United for another year.
