Shusaku Hirasawa (born March 5, 1949) is a famous former Japanese football player. He was a talented Midfielder who played for top clubs and also represented his country on the Japan national team.

Shusaku Hirasawa's Early Life and Club Career

Shusaku Hirasawa was born in Akita Prefecture, Japan, on March 5, 1949. He loved football from a young age. After finishing high school, he joined a professional football club called Hitachi in 1967.

Playing for Hitachi

Hirasawa played for Hitachi for many years, from 1967 until he retired in 1978. During his time with the club, they achieved great success. In 1972, Hitachi won two major championships: the Japan Soccer League and the Emperor's Cup.

The team continued to win more trophies. They lifted the 1975 Emperor's Cup and the 1976 JSL Cup. Shusaku Hirasawa was a key player in these victories. He played in 160 league games and scored 20 goals for Hitachi.

Representing His Country: Japan National Team

Shusaku Hirasawa also had the honor of playing for the Japan national team. His first game for Japan was on August 4, 1972, against the Philippines.

World Cup Qualifiers and Asian Games

In 1973, he was chosen to play for Japan in the 1974 World Cup qualification matches. This was a big step, as it meant trying to help Japan qualify for the biggest football tournament in the world. He also played in the 1974 Asian Games, an important competition for Asian countries.
