Silas Weir Mitchell (born September 30, 1969) is an American actor. He is known for playing interesting characters on TV. You might know him as Charles "Haywire" Patoshik in the TV show Prison Break. He also played Donny Jones in My Name Is Earl. Another big role was Monroe in the NBC series Grimm.

Silas went to The Montgomery County Day School for elementary school. He then went to St. Paul's School, which is a boarding school. After that, he studied at Brown University in Rhode Island. He learned about Theatre and Religion there.
