Silver Apples was an American electronic rock band from New York City. They were active between 1967 and 1970. Later, they reunited for more music from 1996 to 1999 and again from 2006 to 2020.

About Silver Apples

The band was made up of two main members. Simeon (born Simeon Oliver Coxe III) played a special musical instrument called a synthesizer. This instrument creates electronic sounds. The other member was Danny Taylor, who played the drums.

This duo was one of the first groups to use electronic music in their songs. Before them, electronic sounds were mostly used in colleges or science labs. Silver Apples helped bring these new sounds to popular music.
