Silver Creek was once a small community in Plumas County, California. It was located high up in the mountains, about 3,724 feet (1,135 meters) above sea level. You could find Silver Creek about 1.25 miles (2.01 km) north-northwest of a place called Meadow Valley. Today, it is no longer a populated area.

Silver Creek was a very important place for Chinese people living in Plumas County. It became the largest Chinese settlement in the area. More than 500 people lived there at one point.

This community was active from around 1855 until the 1920s. It served as a busy center for Chinese residents. You could find many businesses there. There were hotels, restaurants, and stores. People also had places to worship and meet up with friends.
What Happened to Silver Creek?
Over time, the land around Silver Creek was changed. It was dredged away, which means it was dug up for mining. This process removed much of the original town. Today, only a few small parts of Silver Creek remain.
