Silvestre Francisco Dangond Corrales (born May 12, 1980) is a famous singer from Colombia. He was born in Urumita. Silvestre learned a lot about music from his father, William José "El Palomo" Dangond Baquero, who was also a singer. His mother came from a musical family too. She helped him become the charismatic person he is today.

Silvestre's Music Journey
Starting Out: First Album
After finishing high school, Silvestre focused on his music. He teamed up with an accordion player named Ramón López. They played at parties and small events. In 2002, they released their first album, Tanto para Tí. This album had 12 songs. Around this time, he also met another vallenato singer, Kaleth Morales, who became his friend.
Becoming Famous: Working with Juancho De la Espriella
Silvestre met accordionist Juancho De la Espriella through a friend. Juancho was playing with another singer, Peter Manjarrez, at the time. Silvestre and Juancho quickly became good friends. Their friend convinced them to form a musical duo. Their first show together was in the Cesar Department.
Lo mejor para los dos Their new musical team created a lot of excitement among vallenato fans. Soon after, they recorded their first album together in 2003. It was called Lo mejor para los dos. This album had 13 songs. In 2003, Silvestre and De la Espriella performed in over 250 shows. Many of these shows happened in December.
Mas unidos que nunca
Their next album, Mas unidos que nunca, came out on June 13, 2004. It had 14 songs, including a bonus track. With this album, Silvestre and De la Espriella became one of the most successful vallenato groups. Their hit song "La colegiala" was very popular.
Ponte a la moda In 2005, Dangond and De la Espriella released their third album together. It was called Ponte a la moda. This album was a big success in Colombia and also with Latin American communities in the United States.
Silvestre's Family Life
Silvestre Dangond's parents are William José Dangond Baquero and Dellys Corrales Rojas. He has one brother named Carlos Ivan. Silvestre is married to his childhood sweetheart, Pieri Avendaño. They have three sons: Luis Jose, Silvestre Jose, and Jose Silvestre.
