Silvestre Francisco Dangond Corrales (born May 12, 1980) is a famous Colombian singer. He was born in Urumita, Colombia. Silvestre often says he got his musical talent from his parents. His father, William José "El Palomo" Dangond Baquero, was also a singer. His mother came from a musical family and helped him develop his charming personality and get a good education.

Silvestre Dangond's Early Music Career
First Steps in Music (2002)
After finishing high school, Silvestre Dangond focused completely on his music. He teamed up with an accordion player named Ramón López. They played at parties and small events. In 2002, they released their first album called Tanto para Tí. This album had 12 songs. Around this time, he also became friends with another vallenato singer, Kaleth Morales.
Becoming a National Star (2003–2013)
Silvestre Dangond later met accordionist Juancho De la Espriella through a friend. They both knew about each other but had never talked. They quickly became good friends. A music promoter then suggested they form a musical duo. Their first show together was in the Cesar Department.
Lo mejor para los dos Album (2003)
When Silvestre and Juancho teamed up, it created a lot of excitement among vallenato fans and music critics. Soon after, they recorded their first album together in 2003, called Lo mejor para los dos. This album had 13 songs, including "La pinta chevere," written by Silvestre himself, and "Lo mejor para los dos," written by Kaleth Morales. In 2003, Dangond and De la Espriella performed in over 250 shows. Many of these shows happened in December, with 28 performances that month!
Mas unidos que nunca Album (2004)
Their next album, Mas unidos que nunca, came out on June 13, 2004. It had 14 songs, including a special unplugged version. This album featured songs like "Cautico mi canto" and "La Colegiala," both written by Silvestre. With this album, Silvestre and Juancho became one of the most successful vallenato groups. Their hit song "La colegiala" was very popular.
Ponte a la moda Album (2005)
In 2005, Dangond and De la Espriella released their third album together, Ponte a la moda. This album was also a big hit in Colombia and in other countries, especially among Latin American communities in the United States. The album included popular songs like "Ahi viene ahi va" and "Por ser machista," both written by Silvestre.
Silvestre Dangond's Personal Life
Silvestre Dangond's father is William José Dangond Baquero, also known as 'El Palomo'. His mother is Dellys Corrales Rojas. Silvestre has one brother named Carlos Ivan. He is married to his childhood sweetheart, Pieri Avendaño. They have three sons: Luis Jose, Silvestre Jose, and Jose Silvestre.
