Simon Cheshire is a British writer who creates thrilling stories, often in the genres of mystery, science fiction, and even a bit of horror. For more than 20 years, he wrote books especially for children and young people. He has published over 70 books! Some of his popular series include the detective stories about Saxby Smart and the action-packed SWARM techno-spy adventures.
His very first book, Jeremy Brown of the Secret Service, came out in 1997. Many of his books are perfect for kids aged 8 to 12. He also writes for older teens, like the funny romantic story Plastic Fantastic. In 2020, Simon Cheshire started writing for an older audience under the pen name Richard Gadz. Under this name, he has written novels like The Burn Street Haunting and The Eater Of Flies.

Simon Cheshire was born on June 1, 1964. He grew up in Leamington Spa, a town in Warwickshire, England. His father was a bus driver, and his mother worked as an office cleaner. Simon went to the University of Hull where he studied Philosophy and Psychology. Today, he is married and has a son and a daughter. He lives in Bristol, England.
