Sing Around the Campfire is a fun album by the popular children's music group Sharon, Lois & Bram. It was first released in 1995. This album is full of songs perfect for singing around a campfire. It's also a collection of some of their best songs. Besides the album, there's also a 50-minute video with the same name!

Album Release History

The album Sing Around the Campfire first came out in Canada in 1994. It was called Songs for Round the Campfire then. Sharon, Lois & Bram's own company, Elephant Records Inc., released it.

In 1995, the album was re-released by Drive Entertainment. They changed the name to Sing Around the Campfire. Both versions of the album have the same cover picture. They also have the exact same songs.

Awards and Recognition

This album won an award called the Our Choice Award in 1994. It was given by the Canadian Children's Book Center. This shows that the album was a favorite among kids and families!

The Home Video Adventure

In 1995, a video was made to go with the album. It was also called Sing Around the Campfire. You could buy it through Drive Entertainment or at Sharon, Lois & Bram's concerts.

The video is about 50 minutes long. It shows Sharon, Lois & Bram, their mascot Elephant, and a group of kids. They all go on a fun camping trip together! During their trip, they remember past camping adventures.

The video mixes new scenes with clips from their famous TV show, Sharon, Lois & Bram's Elephant Show. It features many songs from the Sing Around the Campfire album. It also includes some other favorite songs by the group.

The story is about bringing the fun of camping to you, even if you can't go to a park. Elephant helps the kids learn about camping. They sing along to over 25 hiking and camping songs. It's a great collection of Sharon, Lois & Bram's popular tunes.

At the end of the video, there's a short advertisement. It features Sharon, Lois & Bram talking about their other albums and videos. It even shows parts of their Christmas special, Candles, Snow & Mistletoe.

To share their new album and video, Sharon, Lois & Bram went on a short summer tour. They visited places in the United States and Canada. Their concerts had a relaxed, "summertime" feel. It was like sitting around on a back porch with friends. Elephant, their friendly mascot, also joined them on stage! Fans could buy the album and video at these concerts.
