Linet Munyali (born August 4, 1987), known professionally as Size 8, is a talented Kenyan singer, songwriter, and actress. She first became famous for her popular mainstream songs like "Shamba Boy" and "Moto." Later, she decided to make gospel music, releasing her first gospel song, "Mateke," in April 2013. Besides her music, Size 8 also had a small acting role in the TV comedy Mashtaka.

Early Life and School

Size 8 was born on August 4, 1987. She grew up in Maringo Estate, an old neighborhood in the Eastlands area of Nairobi, Kenya. She is the youngest of six children. Her father was from Uganda, and her mother was Kenyan. Both of her parents were religious leaders.

Growing up in a family of faith, Size 8 showed great skills in school and in the arts from a young age. She earned a scholarship to State House Girls High School in Nairobi's Kilimani area. This school is close to State House. She also attended Hillcrest School in Karen, Kenya.

Music Career Journey

Size 8's music journey began when she was discovered by Clemo. Clemo is a Kenyan producer and one of the people who started Calif Records. He found her after she did an audition in her local area. She released popular songs like "Shamba Boy," "Silali," and "Vidonge."

In April 2013, Size 8 shared that she had changed to making gospel music. This was because of a personal spiritual transformation. She felt a strong connection to her faith. This led her to change her music style to match her beliefs. This change was a big moment in her career. It led to her releasing her first gospel song, "Mateke," that same year.

Since changing her music style, she has released many popular gospel songs. These include "Moto," "Yuko na Wewe," "Jemedari," and "Afadhali Yesu."
