Skiddy is a small place in Morris County, Kansas, United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a town that doesn't have its own local government, unlike a city.
A Look Back at Skiddy's History
Skiddy was started in 1870. It got its name from Francis Skiddy, a very important person in the railroad business. For a few years, between 1879 and 1883, the town was actually called Camden.
The local post office in Skiddy closed down in 1953. For many years, the Missouri–Kansas–Texas Railroad served the community. You can still see the old grain elevator next to the railroad tracks today.
