About the TV Show Sky
What is Sky About?
The story of Sky follows a mysterious alien boy named Sky. He has strange, solid blue eyes. Sky finds himself on Earth, but in the wrong time period. He uses his special mind powers, called psychic abilities, to try and find his way back to his own time. This time is after a big event he calls "The Chaos."
Earth itself, through its natural forces, seems to try and stop Sky. It's almost like Earth's body is trying to get rid of something that doesn't belong. But Sky isn't alone! Three human children help him on his important journey.
The show was written by Bob Baker and Dave Martin. These writers are also famous for their work on the popular sci-fi series Doctor Who and the fantasy drama Into the Labyrinth.
About the Show's Release
Sky was originally recorded on special videotapes. Later, when they tried to transfer the show to film, two episodes were damaged. These were episode 3 and episode 7.
In May 2009, the series was finally released for people to watch at home. The damaged parts were replaced with copies from older VHS tapes. These copies weren't perfect, but they allowed everyone to see the full story of Sky.
