Skylar Christan "Skye" Townsend (born September 1, 1993) is an American actress and singer. She has released two music collections, called EPs, titled ... (2012) and Rocking Chairs (2015). Skye joined the main cast of A Black Lady Sketch Show in 2021. She also plays the character Courtney on the CBS TV show The Neighborhood. Skye was born in Santa Monica, California.

Skye Townsend's Acting Career
Skye Townsend started her acting journey in August 2011. Her first role was in the BET web series 8 Days a Week. She played a character named Jade Taylor. This show had 10 episodes.
Early Roles and Guest Appearances
In 2013, Skye acted in a film called Playin' for Love. She played Maya Hardaway, who was the lead cheerleader. Later, she had a guest role in the well-known TV series Lucifer, appearing as a character named Axara. She also filmed a movie called Chase in 2018, where she played Lola.

First EP: ... (2012)
Skye released her first EP album, titled ..., online on May 5, 2012. This EP included songs with other artists. For example, Karina Pasian and Chris O'Bannon were on the song "Go Fish!". Micky Munday was on "Hazel," and Wyann Vaughn was on "Free." The song "Free" was inspired by Deniece Williams's 1976 hit song of the same name. Most of the songs on ... were produced by Jonathan "JMBeatz" Malone, Waren Vaughn, Vybe, and Rey Reel. Skye's father, Robert Townsend, directed the music videos for "Go Fish!" and "It's Normal" in June 2012.
Second EP: Rocking Chairs (2015)
In 2014, Skye began working on her second EP album. It was called Rocking Chairs. This project had 5 songs. It also featured the rapper "DEVEY2G" on a song called "Always."
