Skyhawks facts for kids
Skyhawks was an exciting cartoon show that had 17 episodes. It was supported by Mattel Toys. Each episode was 30 minutes long and had two different adventures! The show first aired on ABC from September 6, 1969, to September 4, 1971.
The Story of Skyhawks
Skyhawks, Inc. was a special family business. They helped transport things by air and rescued people. Their base was San Marcos Field in Southern California. The team was led by Mike "Cap" Wilson. Cap was a pilot who learned to fly during World War II. His father, Pappy Wilson, was also a famous pilot from World War I.
Cap Wilson was a kind father. He had 17-year-old twins, Steve and Carolyn. He also took care of two foster kids: 14-year-old Baron "Red" Hughes and his 9-year-old sister, Cynthia, often called "Cindy" or "Mugs." The team also included Cap's girlfriend, Maggie McNally, and Joe Conway, their main mechanic.
The Skyhawks team did many important jobs. They helped planes in trouble and rescued helicopter pilots. They also moved cargo by air and sometimes went on secret government missions. But they had a rival! Buck Devlin and his pilots also worked from San Marcos Field and were not always fair.
