Trevant Hardson (born October 5, 1970), known by his stage name Slimkid3 (or Slim Kid Tre), is an American rapper from Los Angeles. He is one of the people who started the famous hip hop group The Pharcyde.

Slimkid3's Music Journey

Starting as a Dancer

Trevant Hardson began his career in entertainment as a dancer. He was part of a group called Two for Two with his high school friends, Bootie Brown and Imani. Two for Two appeared in many music videos. They also had a short time on the popular TV show In Living Color.

Time with The Pharcyde

As a member of The Pharcyde, Slimkid3 helped create their first two albums, Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde and Labcabincalifornia. He also worked on their third album, Plain Rap. After Plain Rap was released, Trevant decided to leave the group to start his own music career.

Solo Career and New Projects

After leaving The Pharcyde, Trevant continued to use his birth name, Tre Hardson, and his stage name, Slimkid3. He also formed a band called Faqawi, which has played with him during his solo performances.

In 1996, he helped produce the first album for actor Brian Austin Green, called One Stop Carnival.

First Solo Album

Slimkid3's first solo album, Liberation, came out in 2002. He worked on this album for three years. It featured many other artists like MC Lyte, Saul Williams, Chali 2na, N'Dea Davenport, and Kim Hill.

Collaborations and Recent Work

In 2011, he released a short album called Another Day Another Dollar. This was a team-up with DJ Nu-Mark. Later, in 2014, their full collaborative album, Slimkid3 & DJ Nu-Mark, was released by Delicious Vinyl.
